This print is based on the true story of a male wood pigeon who fell down my chimney. You can read the full story over on the blog.

A black and white relief print of a pair of wood pigeons. The male is preening the female’s far cheek and her head is tilted downwards and he eye half closed. It’s hard not to anthropomorphise and imagine he’s whispering sweet nothings into her ear! The birds are standing on the branch of an old cherry tree and are surrounded by cherry blossom. Each flower, like the birds, has been carefully carved so that even the stamens of each are visible.
